My ootd was built around my turban today, as my hair is not fit for public view. I put these things on because they were warm (I came in with sweater tights under the skirt). And yes, these are my snow boots.
On closer inspection I have found that the outfit has a nice, 20s-ish (or is it more 30ish or earlier??) silouette (got to hike up that skirt, flapper style!) as well as a modern bohemian vibe, making it a multi-decade inspired outfit, and in my book, a success.

Spent some of yesterday outside playing backgammon (this one was a present from Iraq), and my using my pipe, that I got into from Civil War reenacting. Usually B smokes most of it and I puff on it from time to time.

In love

My new dress from FP (that I got half off) is exactly the kind of killer, extremely easy, statement piece I want in my closet. It comes in ivory too, but I tried it on in a size larger and looked like Fantine, so that…was not an option.

It’s kind of a like giant sexy flannel. Perfect for today’s weather.

I’m outie.

What I was picking up at Sephora

If you’re like me and you read Bldg 25 and Sea of Shoes, you will have undoubtedly seen  the gorgeous gold under eye makeup of blogger Filippa Berg. Rather than the no longer available Yves Saint Laurent Touche D’Or she uses, or the extremely expensive alternative that Jane of Sea of Shoes recommends, I offer my surrogate - Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencil in Lit. 20 bucks.

Aline Weber

Recently the Free People blog Bldg 25 did a style profile on Brazilian model Aline Weber. She has this really cool effortless street style that I really, really like. Sort of grunge meets boho. Find more looks and the original post here.
