Down in the Oregon Hill neighborhood of Richmond, staying with some friends and doing some Civil War research/tourism while I’m here. This photo was taken on the front porch after I literally inhaled 2.5 tacos, so let’s just attribute whatever modelling awkardness to that, shall we?

I wanted a full body shot but it was getting dark! More less blurry pics after the jump!
Fellow Blogger and Civil War buff John Cummings posted over on his blog about our conversation the other week for a long term project I’m doing on the Civil War. Check out his blog relating to Spotsylvania and the Civil War!

Oh herro there. This is my first real outfit post in decades. You’ll notice a few things. First, I look mad - that’s because it’s hot.
Then you’ll notice that all my hair is gone. Find out where it went after the jump.
Hello, lovelies.
Well, it certainly has been awhile, hasn’t it? I’ve since relocated back to Virginia where I am living in my room from high school, and though you’ll see some similarities from pictures before, I decided to give my room a makeover for, ahem, a grown-up lady.
But first we start with breakfast.

That would be the slice of cherry pie that I brought home for my sister yesterday (she didn’t like it - yay for me), and a big pot of tea, which will help me get through my day of hours of logging tape from interviews I did yesterday in Spotsylvania, VA.

If we zoom out a little bit, you may be able to guess what I majored in in college (Hint: The answer is not hoarding). English, babies. But because my room is too small for shelves, I did what any hoarder/English major would do and stacked them on top of each other.
Note the fresh flowers which I like to always have in the room. It really does wonders for the mood.
More pretty things after the jump!
