Thanks for recommending me! <3 Making a recommend page is pretty easy: it looks like your theme is able to make pages (Home, Archives, etc). Click the customize button on your tumblr home page and go over to ‘Pages’. Then you click, ‘Add a page’. Then open up a new window and go to the directory where you want to be added to. Go to ‘Get Listed’ and copy the html link that people can click on to recommend you. Go back to your Edit Page. In page URL, put in what you want your URL to be for that page (I picked cafedumonstre.tumblr.com/recommend because it’s easy to find), then as the Page type select ‘Redirect’. In the Redirect to box, paste the recommend link you copied from the other page. Then at the bottom, click the box ‘Show a link to this page’ and type in: Recommend me!
It appears that I’m in the Fashion Directory! Albeit close to the bottom, but HOLY CRAP, GUYS!
Thank you so much for your recommendations and follows! If you like what you see, please recommend here and we can keep that cute puggle in the directory (or maybe even move it up a few pages!) along with Café du Monstre!
It’s a huge tie between playing music with other talented people (whether it’s classical, bluegrass, jazz whatever) or sleeping in with that special someone on Sundays. I think the second one may have a leg up.
Today I went to an amazing museum in Le Marais called Le Beaubourg (at least I think that’s what it’s called…) I literally have never seen so many Matisse’s in one spot in my whole life. It was amazing. And not only was there Matisse but also…
Fontaine by Marcel Duchamp! I can’t believe I was standing right in front of it!
Another famous piece from the Dada movement.
One of the many Matisse’s!
They also had an exhibit called ‘elles’, about women artists throughout time and their contributions to art. Some pieces I could take or leave (i.e. the video in which a naked woman hula-hooped with barbed wire…), but these were both stunning.
Hey, boo. The usual, really - Sartorialist, Sea of Shoes, Maya’s Agenda, Cherry Blossom Girl, Karla’s Closet, What I wore, The Owls are Not What They Seem, Garance Doré, Le Blog de Betty, Jak + Jill. Sometimes I also look at what they’ve got up at Refinery 29.
