Yesterday I went to Musée Rodin. Auguste Rodin was incredibly talented at sculpting the human body, though his methods of sculpture and his style were considered incredibly unconventional during the period he sculpted. Versailles usually has modern sculpture on display much in the same vein the royal family did back in the day. Currently, there’s a Murakami exhibit - the contrast between the old world of the French royalty and Murakami’s giant blobby flower things is actually incredible. See for yourself!

Paul The Octopus
Born on January 2008.
The “psychic” octopus captured the imagination of many for famously getting all of his predictions correct during the tournament.
October 26, 2010 Paul died in sleep due to natural causes, as reported by Stefan Porwoll, manager of the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre in Germany. Decision on his final resting place and funeral is yet to be finalized.

So basically rather than a picture post, you do a text post. You can pretty easily insert your photos by clicking on ‘Add photo’ or something like that above your text box. Also, maybe this is just because I haven’t figured out how to format it properly, but if you’re putting more than one photo in a post, try and make sure they’re either all horizontal or all vertical, or else they don’t line up properly. King François I used Blois as his royal residence, but Chambord was his hunting lodge. His freakin’ vacation home! Look at this place!
The Château de Blois is located in the Loire Valley of France. It was occupied by many generations of French kings and it is where Joan of Arc received her blessing from the Archbishop of Reims before going off to fight the English in Orléans (thanks, Wikipedia!)

Today my friend Riane and I went on a treasure hunt for a note left by our dear friend James LaRocque. James studied here in July and he told Riane he would leave a note for her in France. He posted some pictures of Valentine de Milan’s statue and said it was by a bench near by…
We found Valentine. Now to find the note.

July 1st - Well, Riane, if you’re reading this, I’ll be surprised. With the way these Parisians clean up this city, I’d be truly shocked if this note survives till autumn. While you’re here, I’d encourage you to go get a kir on the other side of the fountain over at the park café. Hope your quarter here is as memorable as I think it will be. We all eagerly await your return and while you’re here, teach these Frenchies how to shotgun. I find 1664 and Kronensburg work best. All the best, James.
