This is the piece I did for NPR’s Intern Edition back in 2010. I’m using my blog to give it a new home since it seems our Intern Edition Website is now defunct :(
Enjoy!
I’m planning on starting a small but somewhat consistent workout routine tomorrow. This is what I envision it to be.

Went to a Frida Kahlo exhibit only to realize it wasn’t until next week. This is what I wore.
Vintage alligator bag, DKNY Trench, Hermès vintage scarf, J.Crew turtleneck.

See this typewriter? I own this typewriter now. It’s a Smith Corona Silent-Super from the 1950s.
What. What.
These would make gorgeous tattoos.
What I did today instead of cleaning my room. The great Ernest Tubbs!
pls go
Mon dieu,
I know, I know. I’m a total blog truant. A flake. A phoney. But my life took a turn towards the real world, and after writing my senior thesis over three times (Damn you, Chaucer!) and finally finding a job after spending 5 months in the service industry, I think I finally have my life under control enough to work on my blog again.
However, I am a working girl now. A freelance journalist in fact for Chicago Tonight, which airs weeknights on Channel 11 at 7 (Chicago peeps, check it out!) I produce segments, some of which can be found the ‘Portfolio’ section of my blog if you’re interested.
Now onto the business at hand: What would you like to see on this blog? I intend on still doing outfit posts, but I have thoughts on things. Other thoughts - like movies, politics, journalist-y stuff. What would you want to read, honestly? Message me with your thoughts!
I bet you guys thought I was dead. In the great words of Monty Python, I’m not dead yet! AND I HAVE CONTENT! MA BLAWG WAS SEW HUNGRY FOR CONTENT.

I was featured in our on campus fashion magazine/online blog MODA here at UChicago. The lovely Steph Mui did a little photoshoot and interview about my style inspirations, favorite stores, go-to outfit etc. Check it out here!
In other news, my BA is finished, I’m graduating in 3 weeks, and I’m turning 21 in a mere 15 days. Outrageous. But more than likely while I’m frantically running around preparing to be a real adult, posts will be sparse. But don’t worry, in 3 weeks once I have no job, I’ll have all the time in the world to post about my outfits as they slowly get rattier and full of holes due to my lack of employment.
Love you, babies.

I know, you’re probably wondering “Where the hell have you been?” Probably not, actually. In any case, I promise I’ve been absent for a good cause. No, it has nothing to do with Chaucer. It has to do with my new photography class that I’ve been busy taking pictures for. Seriously, I’m starting to smell like photo chemicals and furthermore, all light, natural or otherwise, is offensive to my eyes.
Without further ado:

This shoe seems to symbolize summer. And it’s leopard print. And I want it. WANT IT.
Sam Edelman, the things you do to my heart.
In addition to just looking awesome, MaCash is also a super talented artist and did Sam and I’s fake tattoos for a party we went to last night. FAKE tattoos (Mom, FAKE. FAKE.)

My roommate MaCashen and I went to MAC Cosmetics yesterday for the release of their Quite Cute line. She’s been rocking an eye patch lately due to some medical issues, but especially with this amazing pink cat eye they did on her, I think it looks really awesome!

One of the MAC girls said she looked like a character from Suckerpunch. Sew kewl!
